Well known horror filmmaker, writer, actor Eric Spudic makes an unforgettable appearance in the director Jason Kartalian's feature film DRILLER. "I've waited all my professional life for this opportunity," says Spudic, "and I'm still waiting," he continues. "He's in it for a short time, but it is quite memorable," says Kartalian. "His only line is: "Hey babe, you want to smoke some weed?," however he delivers it with remarkable passion. The feature film Driller is based on the graphic novel with stunning artwork by Brad Arnold. Arnold studied at the Art Institute of Seattle. His early work was making prop storyboards for the Thomas Hayden Church, Debra Messing, Fox Series Ned & Stacy. Arnold continues to work in Hollywood as a top storyboard artist for commercials and music videos. He storyboarded music videos for Kanye West, Audioslave, John Mellencamp, Courtney Love, The Chemical Brothers and more. Arnold has worked with top directors Chris Milk, Douglas Liman and Adam Marcus. "I'm thrilled to share my vision with Jason in creation of this graphic novel, and the subsequent feature film" says Arnold, referring to his work with Jason Kartalian, writer of the novel and director of the film. "...moreover, every time I see Jason, he buys me a piece of pizza," Arnold continues.

DRILLER a sci-fi horror feature film written & directed by Jason Kartalian, starring Horror vixen Tanya Dempsey, and newcomer Michael Uccello has wrapped principal photography. It was filmed locally in Los Angeles in the High Def format. This is Kartalian's second feature. "The film Driller is a result of some very talented people going for it," says Kartalian.

DRILLER came to life first as a graphic novel that filmmaker Jason Kartalian and artist Brad Arnold were working on. Arnold and Kartalian adapted a story written by Kartalian. "The images were so strong, and the storyline so compelling that the feature was screaming to be made," says Kartalian. The graphic novel is to be released in January 2006. Driller features cutting edge makeup FX created by Matt Jorgensen, who once worked at Optic Nerve creating creatures for BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, and ANGEL. By the way, Kartalian is son of veteran character actor Buck Kartalian, famous for his role as Julius Keeper of the Cages in PLANET OF THE APES. (that's the cigar smoking ape!) This is Jason Kartalian’s second feature film.
